Italy and USA win gold medals at the World Championships

Men’s team of Italy and female team of the USA won gold medals at the 18th FINA World Championships, which has been completed in Gwangju (South Korea) today.

New season of Champions League kicks off!

The time has come for the best water polo competition for clubs in the world. This week, the new season of the LEN Champions League will kick-off.

Sixteen teams from 10 countries will take part in this season’s competition. Croatia and Hungary will be represented by three clubs apiece, Spain and Germany will have two teams each. Besides them, Italy, Greece, Montenegro, Russia, France and Georgia will have clubs in the CHL.

World League, European qualifications: Serbia and Croatia face off again

The men’s European qualifications for the World League Super Final will start on 12 November. Twelve teams will take part and they were drawn into four groups.

Champions League 2019/20, calendar

After the Qualification Round 3, the groups of the Champions League Main Round were filled by four qualifiers.

OSC, Jadran Split, SIntez and Terassa joined the 12 wild card holders.

Team USA Wins SuperFinal Title and Secures Tokyo 2020.

Team USA clinched its 13th FINA Water Polo World League crown on Sunday June 9 in Budapest, Hungary, defeating strong contender Italy. It was the fourth time these two teams have met in the gold medal match of the Super Final (previously in 2006, 2011, 2014).

Perrone: It is hard to explain what happened…

The second semi-final was in sharp contrast from the first one. Though Barceloneta took a fine start, luck saved Ferencvaros to fall 0-3 behind, and soon they somehow found the way to equalize and from that point, the encounter changed into a low-paced patience game.
